THIS YEAR'S VACOC CHRISTMAS PARTY:
This year's party will be held on Sunday, December 11 at the Seaside Heights Community Center from 11:30 to 3 pm.
”Top Tomato” will again cater the affair and will supply everything but appetizers, desserts and beverages.
Those attending with
the last name beginning with A to M are asked to bring an appetizer to share and those with last names
beginning with N to Z
are asked to bring a dessert to share. The club will provide coffee, tea and soda. There will be no charge
for club members, their
children age 18 and under and their grandchildren age 12 and under.
Guests will be charged $10 each.
Of course Santa will be there to give each child a gift. We will also be having a "Grab Bag" or "Pollyanna"
type gift exchange for adults. Each adult is asked to bring a wrapped gift valued from $5 to $10 (ladies
bringing a gift for ladies and men for men).
As you enter the Community Center, you will exchange your wrapped gift for a number and the gifts will be
placed in two stacks: one for ladies and one for men. Santa will randomly pull the numbers and, when your number
is drawn, you select a gift (and please, not the one you brought) from the appropriate stack. Participation is
optional: if you don't bring a gift, you don't get a number.
Due to seating limitations at the Community Center, we must limit the number of attendees to 100, so it will
behoove you
to sign-up early. We will be passing around the sign-up sheet at the November 2, club meeting. If you are
bringing guests,
they must be pre-paid when you sign-up. If you cannot attend the meeting and wish to attend the party, please
contact
Missy Ippolito at 732-600-5103 or by email at missy@athome-eldercare.com by Dec. 1st.
The winners of the Vintage Auto Museum’s 300 Club will also be drawn at the party.
Tickets are $50 each with the 1st, 2nd and 3rd place winners receiving a prize of $5000, $1500, and $1000,
respectively,
if all 300 tickets are sold. Contact Tim O’Rourke or any museum member if you would like to purchase a chance.
PLEASE KEEP US INFORMED: If you are aware of a club
member who is
ailing, hospitalized, or experienced a death in the family, please contact our Sunshine Ladies, &
Gentleman,
Elaine Golden, Mary Schwankert, or Everett Ross so appropriate good wishes from the club can be
sent.
If you change your address or email address, please let Denny Derion know so that the newsletter
can
be forwarded and the roster corrected. Thank you.
