Schedule of Area Displays, Shows, and other Events: June 2009

Manahawkin, Sat. May 23 from 9am to 3pm - SBR Tire Exchange Classic and Muscle Car Show. Have your show car tires inflated with nitrogen for free. Show site is located at 817 Rt. 9 about 1/3 mile north of Southern Regional High School. Refreshments are available. Donations requested to support the mitosis foundation.

Toms River, Mon. May 25 lineup at 8:30 am – Memorial Day Parade starting from Office Lounge parking lot.

Beachwood, Mon. May 25 lineup at 10:30 am – Memorial Day Parade starting at the Fire House, 745 Beachwood Blvd.

West Creek, Sat. May 30 from 10 am to 4 pm – Wicked Rides 7 th Annual Custom, Hot Rod and Antique Car Show Down at Sea Pirate Campground 148 Rt. 9 (about 5 miles south of Rt. 72). Pre-reg: $10 / Day of Show: $12. Proceeds benefit Great Bay EMS.

June 2 – Toms River from 6 to 9 pm – Cruise to Christopher’s Pub and Grille at the Howard Johnson Hotel, 995 Hooper Ave. Open to all makes 1989 or older and special interest vehicles.

June 3 - Seaside Heights at 7:30 pm – Vintage Auto Club Meeting at the Community Center

June 5 (rain date 6/12) – Pt. Pleasant Beach from 5 to 9 pm – Cruise on Arnold and Bay Aves.

June 6 – Toms River at 9 am – Founder’s Day Parade. Lineup on Hadley Ave.

June 6 (rain date 6/7) - Lacey from 9 am to 3 pm – Sentimental Cruisers Classic Car and Truck Show (pre-1984 vehicles) at Lacey Twp. High School, 73 Haines St., Lanoka Harbor. Trophies, music, food, refreshments, door prizes, and dash plaques for the first 100 vehicles. $12 pre-reg. / $15 day of show.

Jun 7 (rain date 6/14) – Historic Smithville from 8:30 am to 4 pm - Spring Fling GM Thing (for GM and GM powered vehicles only). $15 pre-reg.

June 7 (rain date 6/14) Beach Haven from 8 am to 3 pm – 6 Annual Beach Bums Judged Corvette Show at Bay Village & Schooner's Wharf on Long Beach Blvd. Trophies in all classes. $20 Pre-reg: / $25 day of show. th

June 10 - Jackson starting at 8:20 am – “History on Wheels” display at Christa McAuliffe Middle School. See article in this newsletter for details.

June 10 – Toms River from 6 to 9 pm – Cruizin Downtown on Washington St.

June 11 – New Egypt from 6 to 9 pm - Historical Society Cruise Night on North Main St.

June 13 – Jackson, registration from 9 to 10 am – 1st Annual Pop Warner Football Car Show at the field on 133 Manhattan St. Food & merchandise vendors, trophies, rides for kids, DJ, new car raffle, goodie bags, 50/50, & dash plaques to first 200 cars. June 13 – Tuckerton - Rolling Memories Car Show at Tuckerton Seaport. Vehicles must be 25 years or older. $10 pre-reg (by June 5th) / $15 day of show (2 entries to the seaport included). Dash plaques, trophies, music, food and door prizes

June 13 (rain date 6/14 from 1 to 5 pm) - Vineland from 5 to 10 pm - Corvettes Unlimited "Cruise Down Memory Lane" on Landis Ave. The biggest true cruise in South Jersey. Restricted to American marques 1973 & older & any year Corvette. Food, vendors, music. - FREE - No fees.

June 15 – Whiting from 1 to 3 pm – Car display at Crestwood Manor at 50 Lacey Rd. Food provided.

June 17 - Seaside Heights at 7:15 pm – Vintage Auto Museum Meeting at the Community Center

June 20 – Brick from 11:30 am to 2 pm – Car display at Brandywine Assisted Living at the Gables located at 515 Jack Martin Blvd. Food provided.

June 20 (rain date 6/21) - Brick from 11 am to 3 pm - Brick Morning Rotary 3rd Annual Car Show at Brick High School on Chambersbridge Rd. Dash plaques / goodie bags (first 60 entries), DJ, raffle, and silent auction. $12 pre-reg. / $15 day of show. There will be a large “garage sale” at the event.

June 20 (rain date 6/27) – Wall from 10 am to 4 pm - 3rd Annual InfoAge Antique, Classic & Historic Car Show at 2201 Marconi Rd. $12 pre-reg. / $15 day of show. Open to all pre-1984 vehicles. Dash plaques first 100 registered vehicles. Trophies, door prizes, food, and music.

June 21 (rain date 6/28) - Toms River from 9 am to 3 pm – 3rd Annual Vintage Auto Museum of NJ Car Show at Ocean County College off Hooper Ave. Trophies, food, vendors, 50/50, music etc. $8 pre-reg. / $10 day of show. See the following website for flyer / registration form: Vintage Auto Museum

June 24 – Lakewood from 5 to 8 pm – Car display at Leisure Park located on the South side of Rt. 70 between Airport Rd. and the Parkway. Food will be provided.

June 28 - Berkeley Township from 10:30 am to 3 pm – Vintage Auto Club Annual Picnic at Veteran’s Park. Bring your own beverages and a salad or dessert to share.

June 30 – Berkeley Township beginning at 6 pm - Sounds of Summer concert at Veteran’s Park featuring “Big Shot” a tribute to Billy Joel followed by fireworks. Bring your lawn chairs and bug spray.
